Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Learn Xtra (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
Last updated: January 31, 2026
1. Who we are
Learn Xtra (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an online learning platform for individuals and organizations to access courses, learning materials, quizzes, progress tracking, reviews, and related services.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
3. User roles & responsibilities
The Platform may include different user roles (for example: learners, instructors, organization members, and organization admins). Access to features depends solely on your role.
- Learners: may enroll in courses, access content, take quizzes, track progress, and submit reviews.
- Instructors: may create or manage courses, modules, contents, and quizzes (subject to platform rules).
- Organization/Group Admins: may purchase or manage group access where enabled and view group-related areas permitted by the Platform.
- Admin: may manage the Platform, including moderation, approval of public reviews and global settings.
4. Platform rules & acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Platform. For example, you must not:
- Break the law, violate third-party rights, or share illegal or harmful content.
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, scrape, reverse-engineer, or bypass security measures (including reCAPTCHA).
- Upload malware or harmful code, or attempt to overload the Platform.
- Harass, abuse, defame, or impersonate others.
- Copy, redistribute, or resell content without owner's permission.
5. Courses, content & learning materials
The Platform provides courses that may include text, files, images, videos, quizzes, and other materials (“Content”). Some courses are free and some are paid.
- Free courses: no payment is required to access.
- Paid courses: access requires successful purchase (individual or group, where available).
- Access periods: courses may be offered as monthly, annual, or lifetime access depending on the subscription type selected.
6. Enrollment, access & progress tracking
When you enroll in a course, the Platform may track your progress (for example, by recording completed content). This enables features like progress bars and completion status.
- Progress reflects recorded completion events and may not update if a user does not complete content in the intended way.
- Some courses may include quizzes. Completion status may differ depending on quiz requirements and results.
7. Reviews & moderation
Users may submit reviews about the Platform, instructors, and/or courses, including star ratings. Reviews intended for public display may be moderated and require approval by an admin.
- You must submit reviews that are truthful and respectful.
- We may remove, hide, or refuse reviews that violate these Terms or are misleading or abusive. Review will not be hidden simply for poor rating if it is not abusive or violate this Terms.
8. Payments, taxes, discounts & checkout
Paid purchases may be processed through third-party payment providers (such as Stripe) and may include taxes configured on the Platform. Discounts and promo codes may apply subject to their rules and validity.
- Prices & currency: the Platform may display prices in a currency configured per course and may evolve to support multiple currencies by region.
- Taxes: tax rates may be applied at checkout based on platform configuration.
- Discounts: user, organization, bulk, and promotional discounts may be available subject to eligibility and rules.
- Bulk purchase: if you buy multiple courses together via the cart/checkout, bulk discounts may apply based on platform rules.
9. Refunds, cancellations & disputes
Refund and cancellation availability may depend on the subscription type, course usage, and payment processor rules. Where cancellation is available, it typically stops future access but does not automatically imply a refund unless stated.
- If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact support with your order details.
- Refund decisions (if any) may consider access usage, fraud prevention, and payment provider constraints.
10. Organization/group access
If the Platform supports group access, an organization admin may purchase and manage access for members. Organization members must comply with these Terms.
- Group access may be tied to seat counts or member counts depending on how access is configured.
- Organization admins are responsible for ensuring purchases are authorized and for managing their users appropriately.
11. Intellectual property
The Platform’s software, design, branding, and all non-user content are owned by Learn Xtra or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Platform except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
- Instructors retain ownership of their original course materials but grant the Platform a license to host, display, and deliver that content to authorized users.
12. User content you submit
If you submit content (including reviews, course materials as an instructor, profile details, volunteer applications, or messages), you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it as needed to operate the Platform.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to content you upload or submit.
- We may remove content that violates these Terms.
13. Cookies, consent & preference choices
The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies. You may be asked to provide consent before using the Platform. Your choices may be stored for compliance and to improve the service.
- Essential cookies: required for core functionality and security. These may be used even if you reject non-essential cookies.
- Non-essential cookies: may be used for analytics, performance insights, and product improvement where you consent.
- Interest (optional): you may optionally indicate whether you are most interested in learning as a learner, teaching as an instructor, or both. This helps us understand audience needs and improve content and platform direction. It is optional and does not affect access to the Platform.
Note: We may record limited security metadata (for example, region and a privacy-friendly IP hash) to protect the Platform and prevent abuse.
14. Privacy
We handle personal data in line with applicable privacy laws. The Platform may store contact submissions, cookie preferences, account/profile information, and learning activity required to deliver features like progress tracking and course access.
15. Third-party services
The Platform may integrate with third parties for security and operations (for example, email delivery providers, payment processors, and bot protection such as reCAPTCHA). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms and policies.
16. Availability & changes to the Platform
We aim to keep the Platform reliable and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, change, or discontinue features to improve the Platform or for security and operational reasons.
17. Disclaimers
- The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- Course outcomes depend on many factors; we do not guarantee specific results.
- Content may be educational and informational only and is not professional advice.
- No Certification issued for all courses taught on this platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learn Xtra will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Platform.
19. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the Platform, or engage in abusive or unlawful behavior. You may stop using the Platform at any time.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, and the Scottish courts shall have exclusive jurisdidiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
